My little girl loves books. So whenever there is a special event happening, I will usually find books that are related to the event so that she can understand the situation a little better. For example, before she goes to the doctor, I will read her this book. She usually enjoys her visits a lot better because she could relate it to the content of the book.

Currently on sale at Amazon for only $27.30 ( a 61% off original price of $69.99). Great time to stock up for those Christmas gifts. Since this toy has lots of little parts, it is not recommended for the little ones. Definitely more for the older kids.

I have no problem getting my girl to brush her teeth but I have trouble getting her to brush her teeth long enough. She loves putting on the toothpaste and then that’s when the trouble starts. She puts the toothbrush in the mouth and after one quick scrub, she’s done.
I think this is where having the Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush would be able to help me solve this problem. It’s colorful and it lights up! Best of all, when you push the bottom of the toothbrush, the light flashes for 60 seconds. That will definitely make my girl brush for 60 seconds! Currently, 5 Minutes for Giveaways is currently giving away the Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush and other dental hygiene products to one lucky winner. So go check it out!
I am one of those moms that actually believe that it’s ok to watch a little TV or play a little computer games, as long as they are educational and done under supervision. My little girl, C actually started to read even before she turned 3. I think one of the main reason that she started reading so early was because I read to her a lot, and I really mean A LOT! Even when she was just a few months old, we read at least 10-20 books a day. When I was pregnant, I used to scour everywhere for affordable books. I love Marshalls & TJ Maxx. They have really good books at a great price.
Anyway, back to my point, besides reading to her, I also exposed her to the computer right after she turned one. My favorite website is www.starfall.com. She loved that website and I think that this website was a useful tool for her to start reading. Starfall made learning ABCs fun and at their age, it’s all about fun. When they have fun, they learn much faster like my little girl did.
