Earning with Swagbucks

I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I heard about Swagbucks. But there was no harm trying it out, right? So I did and I am very happy to say that I just redeemed my first Amazon gift card and it worked!!! I even bought a book at Amazon just to test out the gift card and it worked. I still have more swagbucks in my account that I will be saving for Christmas. If you have never heard of Swagbucks, you can check it out HERE. Basically it’s a search engine that you can use to search for stuff on the web. It works just like the other search engine. When you do your searches, you will win swagbucks. Mostly it’s 1 swagbuck for searches but sometimes you’ll get more. You can also win swagbucks when you buy from their store. Accumulate those swagbucks and you can redeem them for gift cards. I use 45 swagbucks to redeem for a $5 Amazon gift card. Not a big amount but it is enough to buy a book for my girl. The best part is that it doesn’t take a lot of effort since I spend a lot of time looking up information on the net anyway.

Zhu Zhu Pets

Lil’ C has been asking for a pet lately. As much as I love pets, I feel that at this point in our life, I do not have the energy needed to take care of another living thing. So I think I might just get here one of these instead!!

Is that cute or what??? : ) Meet the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster. Now this is a pet that even my 4 year old can take care, don’t you think? This is definitely going on the Christmas list. Hopefully this will keep her from asking for a real pet! I can wish, can’t I??

Another great FREE kids workshop this weekend! If you have children ages 5 – 12, bring them to Home Depot this Saturday (August 1) between 9 am and noon. They will learn how to make a message centere for free. How fun is that??

Super Why Event at Toys R Us

There will be free masks & giveaways, storytime, coloring and alphabet bingo. This event will be from 12 pm – 2 pm. Fee-Free Weekends at the National Parks

This summer, there will be 3 fee-free weekends at more than 100 national parks. Usually these parks charge entrance fees but the entrance fees will be waived during these 3 weekends.
